Business Travel Service Award

Each year the Chapter Presidents Council of GBTA honors a select group of experienced travel professionals with the elite Business Travel Service Award (BTSA). These GBTA members have distinguished themselves as industry leaders who have devoted themselves to their company, their association (both local and national), their fellow business associates and have made contributions to the business travel industry. Up to 10 recipients will receive an engraved award that will be presented at the Global Leaders Dinner in conjunction with the GBTA Annual Convention.

Each Chapter may nominate up to two (2) candidates for this prestigious award. The qualifications for this award are:

  • Must be a member of GBTA and their local Chapter
  • Must have a minimum of three (3) years actively involved in travel
  • Must have served as an officer, director, board, or committee chair or co-chair in their local Chapter
  • Must have served on a committee at the local, national and/or global level (CPC involvement counts towards this requirement)
  • Must have either received or are currently enrolled in the GBTA Professional Development or a GBTA education program (GLP, GTP, SMMP or something similar); or shown to further their education and professionalism as it applies to their current position (i.e. GBTA Convention, Sales Training, University coursework)
  • Please note:  Former award winners may not be nominated again.
